Breakfast at 8 Jungle at 9—An Exhibition Design

Exhibition & Signage
‘Breakfast at 8 Jungle at 9’ is
a photography and installation exhibition created by artist-photographer Ernest Goh. We were invited to design its brand identity, collaterals, and space layout at Objectifs Gallery's Sculpture Square.
The exhibition takes its name from a phrase from naturalist and explorer Alfred Russel Wallace’s 1854 letter to his mother.
"Breakfast at 8 Jungle at 9" showcases Ernest Goh's documentation of Alfred Russel Wallace's discoveries in the late 19-century Malay Archipelago.

Inspired by the element of time in the exhibition’s title, we incorporated a timeline in its logomark, and also created a secondary system of signage and exhibition memorabilia to add texture to the exhibition's experience. Visitors were invited to interact with the installations by using stickers depicting various species and animals.
